Duoderm CGF 10x10cm Single

Benefits:

  • Sterile, occlusive dressing that is impermeable to liquids, gases, and microorganisms, including HIV and Hepatitis viruses, helping to reduce the risk of bacterial and viral infection.
  • Retains exudate and creates an optimal moist environment to support the healing process while enhancing the action of endogenous enzymes for autolytic debridement.
  • Maintains a slightly acidic pH (5.0 – 6.0), which is bacteriostatic, further reducing the risk of infection.
  • Capable of absorbing mild to moderate amounts of exudate, allowing dressing changes every 1 to 7 days.
  • Impermeable to liquids, minimizing the risk of contamination in patients with incontinence. The dressing also allows for general showering without requiring additional coverings, improving the patient’s quality of life.
    • Recommendations for Use:

      • Suitable for ulcers and wounds with mild to moderate exudate.
      • Ideal for pressure injuries, vascular ulcers (venous, arterial, diabetic), wounds in the epithelialization stage, burns, open surgical wounds, traumatic wounds, and graft donor areas.
      • Can also be used as a secondary dressing.
        • Instructions for Use:

          • Always read the instructions before applying the dressing.
          • Assess the wound and surrounding skin. Clean the area with normal saline, avoiding antiseptic solutions. Dry the periwound skin thoroughly to ensure proper adhesion.
          • Remove any devitalized tissue and, if necessary, apply hydrogel for autolytic debridement.
          • Choose a dressing that exceeds the wound size by at least 3 cm. Change the dressing when leakage occurs through the edges.
          • The dressing can remain in place for 2 to 7 days.
          • Explain to the patient the drainage characteristics when removing the dressing.
          • Avoid using the dressing with other wound care products unless they have been clinically tested by ConvaTec and authorized by a healthcare provider.
            • Contraindications:

              • Not suitable for infected wounds or wounds with exposed muscle, tendon, or bone.
                • Product Composition:

                  • Hydrocolloid substances: Sodium carboxymethylcellulose, Pectin USP, Gelatin.
                  • Support: Foam Polyurethane laminated film.
